Vaeder: Bring Nature Inside
Natural light has been shown to be beneficial to people’s productivity in office spaces and is rightfully a very prominent star in this year’s office design trends. Meanwhile, when natural light needs a little boost, we coax it inside.
Function vs Form
Or why not both? Inspiration comes in all shapes. The hexagonal prism is the one that caught our designer’s eye when he created Vaeder. A high-performance light, that’s not blinding, serves its purpose and looks great. His idea of curving the honeycomb, rounding and slightly deepening the combs, gives the shape a sleeker and softer look, while at the same time, serving the functions of lighting, and minimizing glare. This also results in a technical luminaire that looks good even when it’s not lit.
Not too good to be true
Can natural good looks also be compliant with emerging lighting standards for human health and wellness? Naturally. Vaeder’s design doesn’t conform to the traditional cold and linear design of technical lights, but it does measure up to strict requirements for spaces, thus exceeding Well Building Standard™ for glare control.
The combination of Vaeder’s honeycomb structure and wafer-thin diffuser sheet form an elegant illuminating entity that makes it the perfect downlight choice for any work space, at the office, at home, or in a creative environment. Ground-breaking LED technology and three optical components result in a low Unified Glare Rating (UGR) value of 16, bringing just the right amount of light, without offending any eyes.
Colours that play while working
The luminaire’s outer shell comes in white, black or donkey grey structure, while the honeycomb comes in black or white. Vaeder is available in a variety of colour combinations, offering customers more choice and room for inspiration. This playful feature not only influences Vaeder’s appearance, but its lighting as well. A black honeycomb absorbs and slightly defines the light, while a white one reflects more light, in a softer way.
Floating or suspended?
Whether a work space is in a new building with standard ceiling height, or in a traditional building with a gracefully high ceiling, Vaeder settles right in. The energy-efficient light fixture can be surface mounted, hovering at a slight, mystical distance from the ceiling. Alternatively, it can be installed in its suspended version, artfully filling an open space.
The luminaire’s innovative technology and versatile application make Vaeder one of nature’s best light ambassadors, bringing comfort, focus and inspiration to any dynamic work space. Its unique design gives it the flexibility to look right at home in residential, hospitality and creative spaces.
